Terms and Conditions relating
to EEC based events, trips and holidays.
For international trips outside the EEC please refer to the
relevant "Expedition Dossiers" |
You declare that you have read and
agree to the Cancellation Charges and have read and understand
the section entitled Your Booking and (except for Hadrian’s Wall
Walk and ski trips) I will be over eighteen years of age on the first date of
the event unless accompanied by your parent or legal guardian.
You further declare that you have
no medical or other conditions that may in any way affect my
participation in this event and that you will notify the
organiser should such a condition become apparent after my
booking has been accepted.
Relating to sponsored events.
If you do not donate at least the minimum required sponsorship
to the nominated charity you will be liable for the full cost of
the event as shown on this website. You also undertake to
remit all money raised to the charity at the earliest
opportunity. |

| General |
You are booking a event, trip or
holiday trip with the UK Outdoor Pursuits Ltd. If you are
participating as a sponsored participant this does not affect the fact
that you are liable for the full cost of the event. UK Outdoor
Pursuits Ltd will not charge sponsored participants for the final
payment providing they forward at least the minimum amount required to
the charity with 2 weeks of the event.

Cancellation charges |
As soon as we receive your booking
application we will start to make arrangements to provide the
trip/event. It is normally possible for us to cancel these
arrangements if you provide sufficient time by cancelling your booking
well in advance. Nearer to the date it is not normally possible
for us to cancel (without charge) the services we have reserved on your
behalf, this is why we have had to introduce the Cancellation Schedule
shown below.
If you let us know you do not wish to participate in any
event (UK based), the following charges will apply. |

More than 6 weeks prior to
the event |
loss of Booking Fee or
deposit only. |

Between 6 & 4 weeks |
prior to the event 50% of
the total cost. |
|
Between 4 & 2 weeks |
prior to the event 75% of
the total cost. |
|
Within 2 weeks |
you will be
liable for the full cost of the trip. |

the event |
loss of Booking Fee or

Between 10 & 8 weeks |
prior to the event 50% of
the total cost. |

you will
be liable for the full cost of the trip. |

| For all cancellations, UK Outdoor
Pursuits will issue a Cancellation Reference which you should keep for
your records. All cancellation charges WILL be levied. They
are levied by UK Outdoor Pursuits NOT the charity |
| Insurance |
| For UK events you are insured for this
event on the UK Outdoor Pursuits Company’s policies. These are Third
Party Liability policies. You are NOT insured for loss of baggage or
personal effects or simple accidents. If you wish to take out extra
cover for such things you should contact your insurance broker as soon
as possible. |
| Medical |
| You may NOT participate in this event
if you are pregnant or have ANY problems with your heart or blood
pressure (regardless of what your doctor may say). It is a condition of
your being accepted on to any events that
you confirm that you have no medical or other conditions that may in
any way affect your participation in the event and that you will notify
the organiser should such a condition become apparent after your booking
has been accepted. THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. |
| Age |
| UK based events (except Hadrian's
Wall and ski trips) are covered by the Adventurous Activities Act and so we can only
accept bookings from people who are over 18 years old on the first day
of the event unless the child is accompanied by a parent or legal
guardian. |
