When you book an event with UK Outdoor Pursuits we will need certain information to ensure we can provide the trip/holiday/event/etc that you have booked.  We also need to ensure that we comply with various laws and regulations (The Adventurous Activities Act, etc).  We will ask you for your full name, your postal address, your date of birth, etc.  For some activities we will need to know your size for caving suits, ski boots, ice picks, etc.  For international trips we will need to know your passport number, next of kin, nationality, etc.  for most international trips we will also need a number of passport size photographs (for visas, trekking permits, etc).

We will send you a "hard-copy" of your booking details by post.  This confirmation will contain full information regarding your booking with such details as - Date(s), Costs or Sponsorship Details, Transport Arrangements, Accommodation Types, Meals Provided, etc.

We will NEVER sell or give this information to any third party other than those that require it to assist in running the event e.g. the hotel will need to know your name so they may comply with fire regulations, our insurance company will also need to know your name, coach companies will need to know where you wish to board the coach, etc. 

If you are participating in a fund-raising event the charity will need to know your name and address so they may comply with The Charities Act which states that they must be able to identify where their income has come from.  They may not use this information without your consent for anything other than auditing the income of an event and other financial reporting obligations.

There are certain codes on this site (page counters, etc) that enable use to review site usage but these codes are non-invasive and will NOT transfer or pass to any part of a viewer's computer.

We NEVER send out Spam E Mails (un-solicited mass sending of promotional - or other - electronic mail).  If you do receive any Spam purporting to be from us please inform us as soon as you can and also inform your e mail service provider - or better still simply block the senders address.

We will send you (by post) a copy of our newsletter which gives details of up and coming activities.  If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter please inform us and we will remove your details from the mailing list immediately.
